Alixandra Powers

Associate

Alixandra brings a unique blend of experience and expertise to her role as an Associate Attorney at Levin & Nalbandyan. Alix has handled dozens of matters involving disability discrimination, sex and gender discrimination, race discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, sexual harassment, and wage and hour disputes.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Russian from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2015. Graduating as a Distinguished Military Graduate, she ranked in the top 20% of Army ROTC graduates nationwide. As a veteran who served in the US Army for 12 years, Alixandra was commissioned as an Officer in 2015 and served as a Medical Evacuation helicopter pilot for 5 years. Her military service instilled in her a sense of duty, honor, and commitment to serving others, values that continue to guide her legal career.

Alix earned her Juris Doctor at Southwestern Law School with a concentration in Labor & Employment Law and Public Interest in 2022. During her time at Southwestern, Alixand accumulated over 100 hours of public service, catering to people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles, Disabled Veterans, and the LGBTQIA+ community. Alix’s commitment to advocacy and social justice is evident in her legal career.

In law school, she completed an externship with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, assisting EEOC attorneys with race discrimination and sexual harassment matters. She also served as a Law Clerk with Southwestern Law School’s Community Lawyering Clinic, where she developed a legal name change and gender marker clinic with the Trans Latina Coalition serving transgender clients. Currently, Alixandra is an Associate Attorney at Levin & Nalbandyan, LLP, where she has been working under the mentorship of Jacob Nalbandyan in the Employment department since her first year of law school.

Alix believes in taking an empathetic yet assertive approach to litigation and has successfully represented clients in high-stakes cases, gaining valuable experience in multiple Arbitrations and Trials. Outside of her legal work, Alix’s interests include art history, 90s hip-hop, and  Brazilian jiu-jitsu/muay thai. She enjoys traveling with her partner and spending time with her two dogs, Astro and Logan.
